Einreichung der Petition von Feminist Asylum beim Europäischen Parlament
On 18 May 2022, the Feminist Asylum Petition for an effective recognition of the specific grounds for asylum for women, girls and LGBTIQA+ people will be handed over at the Petitions Committee of the European Parliament, with 39’063 signatures. This petition aims to break the silence about sexual violence faced by migrant people in order to obtain the application of the international conventions of human rights protection, which are ratified by the member states of the Schengen area. This text is supported by 261 organizations of 18 European countries and by more than hundred artistic, sport and political personalities such as European deputies Malin Bjök, Diana Riba I Giner and Miguel Urbán Crespo.
